Media convergence is happening everywhere we look. The lines between traditional and new media, branding and marketing, and real-world experiences are getting increasingly blurry. Zia has made it it's singularly focused mission to be a pioneer on the forefront of integrated media About the Zia Sun Sign Since primitive times, the Sun has been a positive symbol -- of Enlightenment, Hope, Happiness, Pleasure, Optimism, and Light. It marked the passing of the day and the coming of the seasons. The Sun is warm; it is bright; it is nurturing; it is life itself! The Sun Sign is the ancient symbol of a Native American people called the Zia. It has four groups of rays with four rays in each group. The Zia believed that the "Giver of all Good" gave them gifts in groups of four. These gifts are: - The four directions -- North, South, East, West
- The four seasons -- spring, summer, fall, winter
- The day -- sunrise, noon, evening, and night
- Life itself -- childhood, youth, middle years, and old age
All of these are bound by the circle of life and love, without a beginning or end. The sun symbol is an ancient design. It reflects tribal philosophy with its wealth of pantheistic spiritualism teaching the basic harmony of all things in the universe. To the Zia, four is a sacred number. Four personified the number most often used by the "Giver of all Good gifts". The Zia believed that man has four sacred obligations--to develop a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a devotion to the well being of his people. |
